The Global Practice Lead, Social Media is responsible for leading the professional services component of ExactTarget's Social Media Lab. This role includes directing the development of social media consulting solutions for ExactTarget/CoTweet, leading a team of researchers and social media experts who support a worldwide team of consultants, and serving as a thought leader in the area of social media. The position is based in San Francisco, CA. The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- A proven track record in developing professional services offerings across a variety of technical and strategic areas of focus
- A passion for growing the worldwide capabilities of ExactTarget and CoTweet in the area of social media
- A reputation as a thought leader in the area of social media, with proven speaking and writing skills and credentials to support that reputation
- Proven capabilities in leveraging people, process and technology to achieve results with clients ranging from small-to-medium sized businesses through Fortune 500 organizations
Primary Responsibilities
- Work with other members of ExactTarget's Professional Services organization to continuously develop and refine service offerings that drive innovation and business performance for our clients
- Work with ExactTarget marketing and research professionals to develop white papers, speeches/road shows, academic and business journal articles, blog postings and other materials to further our leadership position in Social media
- Work directly with ExactTarget/CoTweet clients to drive business success through the successful application of social media products and services
- Manage a team of social media experts who are charged with providing social media expertise to clients, and to other consulting teams within the ExactTarget worldwide organization
- Work with ExactTarget's sales organization to pursue new business opportunities for the creative team
- Work with ExactTarget's product organization, providing input and feedback on the product roadmap based on experiences with client engagements
Required Skills/Experience
- Ability to serve as a "global expert" in social media by speaking, writing and engaging directly with ExactTarget clients to drive thought leadership and innovation in the social media space
- Demonstrated capabilities in leading the development of consulting service offerings
- ExactTarget and/or CoTweet application experience a plus
