ExactTarget employees, clients and partners got an early start to Connections during Monday's Volunteer Day. Through partnership with Gleaner's Food Bank, volunteers helped meet the needs of hungry senior citizens and students in the community.
The volunteers, who are visiting Indianapolis for ExactTarget’s global client conference Connections ‘12, partnered with Gleaner's Food Bank of Indiana to pack and provide more than 2,000 meals to at-risk senior citizens and local students in grades K-6.
“Indianapolis has been a great city for ExactTarget and we want to give something back to help our community stay strong and vibrant,” said Katie Schutz, a member of the ExactImpact team that helped at Gleaner's. “It’s great to see so many of our partners, clients and team members join us and invest their time to give back to Indianapolis.”
The ExactTarget project comes a day in advance of Connections ’12, ExactTarget’s annual three-day interactive marketing conference. More than 4,000 attendees will attend the conference in Indianapolis featuring addresses from award-winning author and actor Michael J. Fox, illusionist David Blaine, and executives from Twitter, LinkedIn, Foursquare, reddit and Forrester Research. Built on the theme of “Inspire the Future,” Connections ’12 is designed to challenge individuals, teams and organizations to transform ideas and make positive changes in their communities, companies and around the world.
