Consumers may be in control of your brand, however at ExactTarget, we believe in Marketing to the POWER of ONE, which means truly connecting with your individual consumers - across all channels, at scale. To help share this powerful message with marketers across the globe, ExactTarget is taking thought leadership, exclusive research as well as in market client success showcases around the world at a series of events called CONNECT.
The second stop on ExactTarget’s CONNECT Global Tour took place last week in Sao Paulo, Brazil. As part of ExactTarget’s Global Marketing team, this was a very exciting and proud moment for me. Not only did we host over 250 interactive marketers for a day of rich content, training and programming, but the entire event was programmed in both English and Portuguese. Talk about being global!
For the main stage presentations, we heard from Scott Roth and Bryan Wade on the challenges marketers are facing across the globe, as well as new product releases and tools to help solve those challenges. Joel Book gave a sneak peak into the 17th edition of the SUBSCRIBERS, FANS & FOLLOWERS report, The Digital Carnival which reported some interesting findings:
• 91% of Brazilian consumers are email subscribers
• 77% of Brazilian online consumers have “liked” a brand on Facebook
• 26% of Brazilian online consumers have “followed” a brand on Twitter.
We also heard from local clients, F.biz and Grupo Virtual on how they segment and personalize their communications to target individual consumers. Finally, to close the day, Forrester Analyst, Shar VanBoskirk inspired the group with a presentation on how marketers can spur agile innovation within their organization.
It was an incredible day of learning, sharing, and connecting and it could not have been possible without the support of our local partners and clients. In case you missed the event, be sure to check out the photos or join the conversation on Twitter at #ETCONNECT.
Thank you for sharing in such an exciting day, we’re excited to continue the momentum in Toronto on June 28th!
