I love learning from strategic thinkers. There are times that
I am outright envious of our strategic services group and the work
they get to do every day. They inspire me to spend a great
deal of my personal time studying the complicated plumbing behind

I don't pay much attention to the expert exchanges nor have I
memorized the latest Marketing Sherpa Trends. Most email
marketing consultants I know, talk very eloquently about
statistical trends and how best practices dictate the proper gospel
for the space. And, although these trends are great for an
initial point of view, I believe they have fallen short in a number

Ever since I got into the email business clients and prospects
have been asking how to put video in email. For me it is not
a question of could but rather one of should. I find it
ironic that we keep trying to figure out technical approaches to
delivering videos into the inbox. What we should really be
asking ourselves is WHY video in the first place.
Don't get me wrong. I think video is great. I just
don't think it is great for email. Even if email clients
could demonstrate beautifully streamed video feeds I would still
think it's a lousy idea.
