I've been telling my friends that I'm headed to the MMA Forum in New York City in early June and they ask me about my karate skills. No, not that MMA. Yes, this is a tired old joke for those not the mobile space, but we all know I'm referring to the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) annual forum. It'll be filled with the "who's who" of mobile marketing--top brands, agencies and solution providers all gather to listen, learn, advise and collaborate on the future of mobile. Plus, there are all of the events and parties to attend!
This is my third MMA Forum in New York City, and I can't wait to attend. Like any veteran of a industry event, I have my action plan in mind, and the top four things I'm definitely going to seek out while attending. Here they are:
1. Tom Wheeler's keynote and panel on mobile video. With the proliferation of tablets AND improved video quality, mobile video continues to heat up. I can't wait to hear the latest--especially from the panelists! Day 1--June 12th @ 9:15 am.
2. Mickey Alam-Khan's session entitled "Engaging the Consumer: How Mobile Changes Everything" on Day 1. Mickey from Mobile Marketer is an expert in pulling together an A-list panel with provocative questions, audience involvement and thoughtful takeaways. Should be top-notch content. Day 1--June 12th @ 12:30 pm.
3. The ExactTarget Plus Party. Rooftop mobile party, anyone? It's all about the "plus" on Tuesday night, June 12th at 7 pm--mobile + email + social. And did I mention a private concert from Grammy-award winner Vanessa Carlton? We'd love for you to join us, and you can reserve your spot here:
4. The Cross-Over: ExactTarget presents latest mobile consumer research, client case studies and a panel of mobile experts to talk about the "crossover" of brands from a mobile-only mindset to a cross-channel approach. Day 2--June 12th @ 11:50 am (Track 6).
Still making last minute plans? ExactTarget customers and guests can use this code: ExactTarget_15 to receive a 15% off discount.
But even if you can't join, make sure to track the event on the #MMAF2012 hashtag for the latest & greatest from New York.
See you at the Forum!
