Employee Job Title: Catapult Rotational Associate
Orange Since: 2011
How does Orange Culture manifest itself on your team?
Orange Culture is the way in which ExactTarget employees live out our core values. This means:
- Treating people well
- Being easy to do business with
- Staying true to permission
- Making clients look like heroes
- Empowering marketers through software
- Making decisions like an owner
- Having an entrepreneurial spirit
- And pursuing goals as a team
These are powerful sentiments that are important to a rapidly-growing company. All of these characteristics are alive and well in teams across the organization. But there is one group that is especially transformed by the power of Orange Culture.
ExactTarget’s Catapult and Slingshot programs are dedicated to the involvement of young college students in the growth and development of the company. Catapult serves as a rotational program for recent college graduates, while Slingshot hosts current college students for a three-month internship.
These individuals almost function as a team of their own, networking and learning as they assist various departments with their ever-growing responsibilities. By interacting directly with many of the movers and shakers at ExactTarget, these young professionals learn what it means to think entrepreneurially, own important projects, and treat coworkers and clients well. Working as a group also encourages effective teamwork. Finally, real-world experiential learning empowers this group to follow ExactTarget’s client mantras of using permission-based communications, serving the client, and offering software-as-a-service in the marketing world.
