So, I have to admit that I really enjoy everything about Carrie and Dave Kerpen from Likeable Media. They don’t know me, but learning about their marriage back story makes me wish we were friends.
Recently, they polled their community of determine the top 40 Facebook pages for 2012. Apparently, they were selected based on creative, design, functionality, and engagement. The list is really interesting and worth a look, but for those who have a short attention span, here are my top five from the list and why:
1. Southwest Airlines
Luv. Luv. Luv. From a branding perspective, they have taken their friendly, easy-going persona from their airline experience to their media social experience. Full Disclosure: They use SocialEngage to handle customer service via Twitter and take it very, very seriously.
2. Gilt Group
I am a woman after all, and I love clothes, but Gilt really does a good job on Facebook with content. The frequency and relevancy is ideal for the working professional woman and they do a great job of integrating channels and apps to engage you.
3. Skittles
Who doesn’t love Skittles? Particularly during the darker winter months. Honestly, it is the only food (ok, candy!) brand I follow because its pretty hilarious. Did you know that December 5th was the day of the Ninja?
4. Modern Family
Claire and I were separated at birth. Enough said.
5. Target
Target knows that people are always looking for deals and they do an awesome job with sweepstakes, contests, promotions, and other fun ways to engage fans and spread holiday shopping cheer.
