An Interview with Clint Wilson, Founder of Cazoomi Technology
Earlier this month I had the opportunity to sit down and chat with Clint Wilson, the founder of Cazoomi Technology. We discussed a number of topics including the role his company is taking to drive technology integrations and knock down the silos of data that exist in many organizations today. Clint has a passion for bringing technology and people together which is why he founded Cazoomi. Through Cazoomi, Clint provides a network of technology and services providers to help organizations solve wide array of their business challenges. Here’s a bit of our conversation:
Colby: Tell me a little bit about Cazoomi and what you bring to the market?
Clint: Cazoomi is all about connections. It’s about connecting technology and the right people to the right projects. We want to help people solve problems quickly without having to spend time doing the research and making the connections we’ve already made. We have about 1600 members and over 200 consultants in our network ready to get connected.
Colby: What benefits does this have for your customers?
Clint: We save people time who are trying to configure solutions themselves but have never done it before. Many people can spend hundreds of hours trying to research and build a technology integration. We can easily cut their time in half.
Colby: Tell me about SnapLogic and Snap technology and how you use it to drive integrations.
Clint: When I was a kid I liked to play with Lego’s. Other kids would build really cool and elaborate creations out of Lego’s. I didn’t want to reinvent what they were doing, I just wanted the blueprint! It’s the same thing with technology integrations and leveraging ‘Snaps’. Why repeat the work that’s been done before?
Colby: So the Snap let’s you repeat an integration that’s already been built?
Clint: Exactly. It’s like an integration Operating System. Once you have a common connector you’re able to connect any system to any other system. We actually have customers that have taken up to 10 desperate systems, have connected them and are maintaining the integrations with just a couple of people.
Colby: Tell me a little about the integration between NetSuite and ExactTarget.
Clint: That’s a great example of how Snap technology works. You have the ability to tie the two systems together so you can have your sales reps aware of where prospects are in the sales cycle and manage your subscription lists globally. Having one source of the truth is absolutely critical when you’re coordinating business systems. It also ensures your CAN-SPAM compliant, getting messages to the inbox, and freeing up your marketing team from doing manual data management work to take on more strategic projects.
Colby: Can you give us any insights into where the market for technology integrations is going?
Clint: Technology integrations will continue to get easier and more wizard based. Even complex integrations will be 4 or 5 step processes. I also think we’ll see more trends around ‘try before you buy’ as part of the normal integrated technology sales cycles as customers are becoming more sophisticated and demanding of their vendors.
Colby: Thanks for taking the time to chat today, Clint.
Clint: Thank you.
Clint and I will be continuing this conversation on a webinar on July 22nd at 10 AM Pacific/1 PM Eastern and hope you’ll tune in to participate. We’ll be joined by Josh Pierry, the Founder of Pierry Interactive, and we’ll be discussing the power of integrating your customer data, and specifically, unlocking the full potential of your Netsuite implementation with an integration of ExactTarget.
