Such an exciting day as Facebook completed their record-setting IPO. The buzz this morning brought back so many amazing memories from our IPO on March 22nd (including our first interview as a public company on CNBC). I have been so busy over the last 60 days that I haven't had an opportunity to share reflections on my blog. Here are a few...
The entire process - from drafting the S1 to the roadshow to ringing the bell on the New York Stock Exchange (and live simulcasting the event to all of our employees around the globe) was an extraordinary experience. The NYSE were terrific partners - literally turning the trading floor Orange. Traders were all wearing ET Orange jackets, the carpet was Orange and energy was electric. I was able to share the experience with my incredibly talented leadership team, family, friends and our excellent banking and legal advisors who ushered us through the process.
Ringing the bell was the culmination of 11 years of hard work by so many wonderfully bright, talented and dedicated people. I am so grateful to our amazing employees around the world who work day and night to help our clients achieve marketing success. Also huge appreciation for our hundreds of partners - and most importantly the thousands of marketers who trust ExactTarget to power their interactive marketing programs.
Now as a public company, we have even greater resources to further accelerate innovation and define the next generation of interactive marketing in the cloud. I look forward to working with you as together we begin this new chapter in our history.
