Twitter is practically everywhere when it comes to
entertainment--in music, on TV, in the film industry, and more. But
how is social making an impact in the tourism industry? On a recent
excursion to Las Vegas, I found myself checking into the MGM Grand
Hotel and Casino, and staring at something that I've rarely seen in
hotels and similar establishments. It was a giant-screen TV
positioned behind the check-in desk that presented, in real-time,
all interactions with the @MGMGrand Twitter handle. This does a couple
different things for the hotel brand:

question is by saying enthusiastically, “I liked them all!” Well,
during a conference featuring “The Power of One” as the connecting
theme throughout – “I liked them all” sounds rather like a cop-out.
But that’s my answer to the question “Who was your favorite speaker
at Connections 2011?” I loved them all. Collectively.



I’m
going to let you in on a little secret – I love grilled cheese
sandwiches. It truly is the perfect sandwich. Simple and basic, yet
grows up as you do. As a kid, I ate the basic grilled cheese:
American on white bread. Now, as an adult, I’ve moved up to more
“sophisticated” grilled cheese sandwiches – with tomatoes or bacon
or gourmet cheeses.
