I had the pleasure of interviewing Jamie Notter, author of Humanize and a brilliant human being, as part of our continued focus on Inspired Marketing Predictions for 2013. During the interview I asked Jamie for his prediction for the coming year.
"I'm not a futurist, but from the conversations I am having I still think big data is going to be number one on our attention in the coming year. It's obvious that big data is relevant to marketing folks. What's more interesting to me is that big data is going to be applied to a variety of management segments.
Big data shines a light on the fact that we have no idea why anything works. I think that is a big lesson for marketing and leadership in general."
